This Friend Thing
Friends come in very many forms.......I've got to tell you about me before I continue.
I was born a shy boy, do you know what I mean by shy? Guess not. I never associated myself with anybody, call it anti-social. I only spoke whenever I was spoken to and only replied to the question asked, no explanations. That kind of changed when I went to high school. I started associating with more and more friends and getting to know people from different places interested in different things; just sharing in general.
When I got out of high school, my sister could not believe what had become of me. I talked a lot and cracked jokes she could have swon I couldn't. And that is when the problem began. The more you speak the greater your chances of creating and breaking the relationship, friends and boy-girl relationships alike.
That is when I realize that friends come in different forms, some understand others don't. Some are trustworthy, others are not. You can go on and make a long list of the different forms of friends, but it all boils down to this fact: If you cannot forgive then you will not have friends at all, and it also applies to those who cannot learn. I have friends not because they never make mistakes and not because I never either, but because we are able to forgive and learn from the mistakes we make.
I love my friends....
It takes great power to create friends. I can start a conversation with a in an instance and carry it on and make a friend out of him/her very easily. But that is not my pride. It takes even greater strength to keep friends. If asked to choose between these two, I'd ask for the latter.
